All funds will support the work of:
The Office for Women, Family and Community Programs that identifies, addresses, and minimizes health disparities for low-income and underserved women and families. The OWFCP works collaboratively with community organizations, health centers, and schools to deliver programs such as:
- Passageway: a domestic violence intervention program, which provides risk assessment and safety planning, crisis intervention, individual counseling, support groups, referrals, education, and training
- Student Success Jobs Program: places 25 students annually from five Boston high schools in internships at Brigham and Women's Hospital where they are matched with mentors, acquire new science-related skills, and prepare for college
- Connecting Hope, Assistance and Treatment Program (CHAT PROGRAM): provides financial assistance to approximately 100 women per year who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and have insufficient income and insurance coverage to pay for necessary services and treatment related to their breast cancer diagnosis
Please help us reach our 2007 team fundraising goal of $500,000 to give to these great programs!
